The second chapter of Covenant’s playtest adventure is done! Find out more below the fold.

Here’s what we want to talk about this week:

  • The second chapter of Covenant’s playtest adventure
  • How to become a playtester

PLAYTEST ADVENTURE

Welcome to Bitter Springs is over halfway done! We finished the second of the playtest adventure’s three chapters today. We can now confidently say that we have enough material for at least one playtesting session.

The first chapter had the PCs being captured by and escaping from slavers. The second chapter has them returning to the Covenant, finding out where the slavers’ base is (since the slavers shot out the computer on the PC’s ship during their escape) , and recruiting soldiers and mercenaries to help them assault the base.

Each chapter focuses on testing different parts of the game. The first chapter was all about testing Covenant’s stealth and combat mechanics. This chapter, on the other hand, is all about testing the game’s investigation and social mechanics.

We will try to start the third chapter this weekend, or by Monday at the latest. Stay tuned here for updates.

BECOMING A PLAYTESTER

Have you downloaded Covenant’s playtest rules yet? Did we mention that they’re free? If not, do it now! They’re free! All we ask is that you tell us what you think about them. You can send your feedback in two ways:

That’s about it for now. Talk to you next Friday!
