How do you trip someone up in Covenant? And how do they get back up? Find out below the fold.
Trip: Knocking other characters prone during fights
- To Accomplish: Opposed Agility bid vs. target’s Agility bid
- Successful Bid: The target is either knocked prone or, on a narrow surface, knocked off the surface.
- Unsuccessful Bid: The target maintains its current stance.
- Suggested Traits: Athletics, Agility, Fighting, Trickery
- Suggested Advantages:
- The character is larger than the target.
- The target is in a kneeling stance.
- The target has injured or lost the use of xir arms or legs.
- The target ’s movement is restricted (EXAMPLE: by a net, shackles, rope, handcuffs, or another character).
- Suggested Disadvantages:
- The character is smaller than the target.
- The target has more than two legs.
- The target has some way to balance or brace xirself.
- The target is intoxicated.
- The target is overburdened.
Regain Footing: Climbing to your feet after being knocked prone or tripped
- To Accomplish: Fixed Agility bid, set by the FM
- Successful Bid: The character regains xir footing.
- Unsuccessful Bid: The character remains prone.
- Suggested Traits: Athletics, Agility, Movement
- Suggested Advantages:
- The target has some way to balance or brace xirself.
- Suggested Disadvantages:
- The character has more than two legs.
- The character is intoxicated.
- The character is overburdened.
