You know how to do short chases and long chases in Covenant. But what if you don’t know where your quarry is, and you need to track xir down? Click below the fold to find out how to do that.

Track: Track a quarry or investigate where xi went. Used for very long chases, especially ones where the chaser can’t see the quarry.

  • To Accomplish:
    • Chaser’s Chasing bid vs. quarry’s Evasion or Stealth bid
    • The chaser may need to make Chasing bids over several turns or scenes to catch the quarry.
  • Successful Bid:
    • The chaser closes in on the quarry.
    • The chaser catches the quarry.
  • Unsuccessful Bid: The quarry evades the chaser, and the chaser must begin tracking xir all over again.
  • Suggested Traits: Chasing, Evasion, Knowledge, Influence, Perception, Stealth, Tactics, Trickery
  • Suggested Advantages:
    • The trail is fresh.
    • The quarry is not aware xi is being tracked.
    • The quarry is not covering xir tracks.
    • The quarry is travelling through hostile territory.
    • The quarry is nearby.
  • Suggested Disadvantages:
    • The trail is cold.
    • The quarry is actively covering xir tracks.
    • The quarry has a large head start.
    • The quarry is travelling through friendly territory.
    • The quarry has moved to another planet or geographic region.

That’s it for now. Talk to you tomorrow.
