I wanted to get three bids done tonight. I was only only get part of one. Granted, I was playing my Monday game while I was writing this, so I wasn’t able to give my full concentration on it.
Still, it doesn’t bode well. This is going to take longer than I thought.
Here’s what I wrote today.
- Athletics: Using the character’s strength, physical endurance, or skill with sports
- Jump: Jumping for distance or height, vaulting over an obstacle
- To Accomplish: Fixed bid, target set by FM
- If Successful:
- Jump for Distance: The character clears the jump. If the character is jumping over a gap, xi may fall short but grab the opposite ledge and pull xirself up.
- Jump for Height: The character either jumps up or down to their target or grabs a ledge and pulls xirself up.
- Vault Over Obstacle: The character clears the obstacle.
- If Unsuccessful:
- Jump for Distance:
- The character does not clear the jump.
- The character clears the jump, but stumbles and falls prone.
- The character does not clear the jump, grabs the opposite ledge, but is unable to climb up without an additional Athletics bid.
- Jump for Height:
- The character is unable to jump up or down to xir target.
- The character misses xir target.
- The character lands on xir target, but stumbles and falls prone.
- The character does not reach xir target, grabs a ledge, but is unable to climb up without an additional Athletics bid.
- Vault Over Obstacle:
- The character does not clear the obstacle and slams into its side or top.
- The character trips and falls prone on the other side of the obstacle.
- Suggested Traits: Athletics, Agility, Escaping, Movement, Riding (if mounted)
- Suggested Advantages:
- Character has a running jump.
- Distance to be jumped or obstacle is smaller than character’s size.
- Suggested Disadvantages:
- Character is jumping from a slippery surface.
- Character is jumping to a slippery surface.
- Distance to be jumped or obstacle is larger than character’s size.
- Character is overburdened with gear.

That’s it for now. Hopefully, I’ll have more than this tomorrow.
